Accra International Conference Centre
The Accra International Conference Centre was built in 1991 to host the Tenth Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement. It has since hosted major conferences and summits by U.N. organisations, such as the World Health Organisation, the Food and Agriculture Organisation, as well as regional organisations such as ECOWAS.
The Accra International Conference Centre, (AICC), has six conference halls. These are; the Main Hall or Conference Auditorium, two committee Halls, three Meeting Rooms and a Foyer.
The main Auditorium provides seating or up to 1,800 people. The gallery has 132 seats, whiles 182 seats have been reserved for the press. The multi-purpose hall can also be used for musical shows, concerts, lectures, theatrical performances and other public events.
Booking Procedures
- Interview potential clients about the event and required facilities.
- Receive formal booking request.
- Approve and issue invoices and response letters.
- Receive 50% of total charges before confirmation of booking.
- Enquire about venue availability.
- Submit a formal request.
- Pay a 50% non-refundable deposit by Bank Draft, Cheque, Cash, or Direct Bank Deposit into AICC’s Cedi or Dollar Account at the Bank of Ghana or Centre at booking time.
- Pay the 50% balance by bank draft, cheque, or cash ten (10) working days before the event. Until full payment, new rates that come into force after preliminary discussions may apply.
- Dismantle setup immediately after the programme; failure to comply will attract an extra 25% charge.
- Adhere to capacity quotas; failure may lead to event cancellation.
- Follow all other Centre rules and regulations.
